Marine 16 Complete is the premium fuel bug additive for marine use for yachts and motorboats. Marine 16 changes the formulation regularly to cope with the increased use of Bio-diesel in diesel fuel. Marine 16 Complete protects from the undesirable effects of Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD) and BioDiesel.
Using Marine 16 Complete will give complete protection against the growth of Diesel Bug, in your engine.
The dosage of Marine 16 complete is 100 mill per 100 litres of fuel. Ideally, Marine 16 Complete should be added before refilling with diesel fuel. Overdosing will not harm your engine. Please note, Marine 16 Complete should not be spilt on painted surfaces.
Diesel fuel has a shelf life of 3 months. During the winter, diesel tanks should be left as empty as possible, as modern diesel is not stable after about 3 months of storage.
If you already have black specks or black sludge, in your pre-filter or fuel tank, use Marine 16 Diesel Bug treatment first and then use Marine 16 Complete, every fill thereafter, as a preventative treatment.
This is a CAV type pre-filter, fitted between the fuel tank and engine, used commonly on any yacht engine up to 130 HP.
