Technical Specification: AD31. Four-cylinder turbo diesel, approximately 130-150hp @3800 to 3900 rpm. Oil capacity, 9 litres approximately of VDS3 oil.
The Volvo Penta AD31, TAMD31 and similar variant diesel were built between approximately 1994 to 2000. The Volvo Penta AD31 series is a four-cylinder turbocharged diesel. Other variants include the AD31, AD31P-A, AD31L-A, AD31-A, AD31B, AD31D and TAMD31 Series.

Volvo Penta Coolant VCS-2 (orange) contains new inhibitors that are adapted to the materials used in modern engines. VCS (orange) offers improved protection against corrosion and the build-up of deposits. It helps counteract cavitations and galvanic corrosion. The change interval is 4 years for VCS2 orange coolant and can be mixed with VCS yellow coolant. It must not be added to any previously used green coolant engine.
