Volvo Penta 120S-E Saildrive

Aluminium anodes should be used in brackish and saltwater. A Magnesium version should be used for freshwater. Anodes should not be mixed on any installation and should be inspected as often as possible, especially if the boat is in a marina environment with shore power around. If the anode is worn by more than a third, it will need to be changed, due to its surface area being reduced.

A Volvo Penta 120S-E differs from other variants as it uses Volvo Penta Synthetic Transmission Oil, SAE 75W-90 and not engine oil.
