Volvo Penta 2 part Aluminium ring anode in 2 parts for 130S and 150S Saildrive.Please note this is an Aluminium anode for saltwater and brackish use. A Magnesium version should be used for freshwater. Anodes should not be mixed on any installation. The Zinc version, 22651246 has being phased out by Volvo Penta and replaced with this Alumunium anode. Do not mix Zinc and Aluminium anodes on any installation. If your anode is worn away by 33% or more, it is advisable to change it as more of its surface area has been worn away and the remaining anode will wear away much quicker.The anode protects the drive, engine and propeller from corrosion due to electrical currents in the water. When you change your anode, make sure that it is not painted and that it has a good contact via the bolts and metal surface to the Saildrive. Folding hub hex screw used on a 3 or 4 blade folding hub mounted on a Saildrive or shaft. Three or four are required dependant on the number of blades present.
