The D2-55A range of Volvo Penta diesel was built from 2001 to 2004. The Volvo Penta D2-55A is a 4-cylinder fresh water-cooled engine, compact, quiet and environmentally efficient diesel.
We can supply all parts for the Volvo Penta D2-55A diesel including a range of D2-55A spare parts, oil filters and fuel filters, drive belts and impellers, genuine D2-55A series exhaust elbows, oils and grease. We are also the main Volvo Penta dealers. The D2-55A was available with a straight or angled gearbox or a 130S Saildrive.
On any Volvo D2-55A, clean out the heat exchanger every 5 years, replace the heat exchanger O-rings and check the exhaust elbow to prevent a build-up of carbon and rust in the outer chamber.

VCS (orange) offers improved protection against corrosion and the build-up of deposits. It helps counteract cavitations and galvanic corrosion. The change interval is 4 years for VCS2 orange coolant and can be mixed with VCS yellow coolant. It must not be added to any previously used green coolant engine.
