Volvo Penta D2-60, D2-75 exhaust elbow connector, Part Number 859836

This is the exhaust elbow or water injection elbow side connector. Exhaust elbows are a common cause of overheating and poor exhaust flow of water out of the transom. The elbow should be removed and checked for carbon build-up and rust every few years. 

It is not uncommon for aftermarket non-genuine elbows to corrode quickly and in some cases, stainless ones can explode, due to poor casting.
