The D2-75 range of Volvo Penta diesel was built from 2003 to present-day. The Volvo Penta D2-75 is a 4-cylinder fresh water-cooled engine, compact, quiet and environmentally efficient diesel. The D2-75 series meets BSO, EU RCD Stage II, US. EPA Tier 3 emissions.

On any Volvo D2-75, clean out the heat exchanger every 5 years, replacing the 4 O rings. Check the exhaust elbow to prevent a build-up of carbon and rust in the outer chamber.

Volvo Penta Coolant VCS-2 (orange) contains new inhibitors that are adapted to the materials used in modern engines. VCS (orange) offers improved protection against corrosion and the build-up of deposits. It helps counteract cavitations and galvanic corrosion. The change interval is 4 years for VCS2 orange coolant and can be mixed with VCS yellow coolant. It must not be added to any previously used green coolant engine.
