Volvo Penta D4 Exhaust Elbow blanking plug washer, Part Number 969011.

This is the exhaust elbow or water injection elbow blanking plug washer. The screw plug is part number 960930. The new D4 genuine exhaust elbow has an extra side opening for a temperature sensor. Older Volvo Penta D4 engines do not have a temperature sensor and thus this extra port requires a blanking plug and washer. 

The exhaust on a D4 should be checked at least every 5 years by removing it and checking for carbon build-up and corrosion. Never use a stainless exhaust elbow on a D4. We see them fracture and fail due to heat. Always use a genuine Volvo Penta exhaust on a D4
