The heat exchanger and oil cooler on any KAD300 should be cleaned and the "O" rings changed, every 5 years to prevent overheating. KAD types of diesel should be using Volvo green coolant. Never attempt to try and change over to Volvo Penta VCS yellow coolant. Mixing yellow and green coolant can cause gelling and blockages within the cooling system.
