MD1 Volvo Penta diesel engines were built between 1958 and 1970 and many are still working today. The MD1 was a single-cylinder diesel rated between 5-7hp. Volvo Penta MD1B's were made between 1970 and 1973 and were a single-cylinder 10hp diesel.
