The continued improvement of new Volvo Penta engines with higher performance, more compact sizes and lighter materials raises the requirements for cooling and corrosion protection. Volvo Penta Coolant VCS-2 is orange and must not be mixed with green coolant.

Volvo Penta Coolant VCS-2 (orange) contains new inhibitors that are adapted to the materials used in modern engines. VCS (orange) offers improved protection against corrosion and the build-up of deposits. It helps counteract cavitations and galvanic corrosion. The change interval is 4 years for VCS2 orange coolant and can be mixed with VCS yellow coolant. It must not be added to any previously used green coolant engine.
