Volvo Penta TAMD 62 Series

Technical specification: TAMD62 series diesel range. Manufactured from 1992 to 1994. Inline 6-cylinder, 330 hp. Oil capacity is approximately 20 litres of VDS3 oil depending on engine inclination.

The heat exchanger and air cooler on any TAMD62 should be cleaned and all the "O" rings changed, every 5 years to prevent overheating.

A TAMD62 diesel should run on Volvo green coolant. Please do not mix or change the coolant type once one has been used. If you are running on Volvo Penta green coolant, continue to use green coolant. Do not use VCS yellow coolant as it can cause it to gel and blockages occur, within the cooling system.
