Volvo Penta TAMD 63 Series
Technical specification: TAMD63L-A, TAMD63P-A series diesel range. Manufactured from 1994 to 2005. Inline 6-cylinder, 235- 370 hp. Oil capacity is approximately 20 litres of VDS 4.5 oil depending on inclination.
The Volvo Penta TAMD63P-A, TAMD63L-A is an in-line 6-cylinder, fresh water-cooled diesel engine.

The heat exchanger and air cooler on any TAMD63 should be cleaned and all the "O" rings changed, every 5 years to prevent overheating.
The TAMD63 diesel should run on Volvo green coolant. Please do not mix or change the coolant type once one has been used. If you are running on Volvo Penta green coolant, continue to use green coolant. Do not use VCS yellow coolant as it can cause it to gel and blockages occur within the cooling system.
