If you keep your current control mechanism, minor modifications may be needed in order to fit the new stainless steel cover plate (details are in the installation instructions).
We recommend the Volvo Penta Xact cable for the smoothest operation, especially for long or complex cable routings. To find the length, look at your existing cable. Often the length is written on the outer of the cable, about every 2ft to 3ft. Cables are available from 3ft to 49ft and 1.5m to 13m. Please call 01326 370060 to order cables. Two are required for each installation.
The stainless sailboat control was developed to easily upgrade from older installations to a solid, 316 stainless steel throttle control. This means that the control lever can be mounted directly onto an existing Volvo Penta control mechanism.
Volvo Penta Xact 10 FT low friction throttle and gear change cable. Volvo Penta Xact cables are superior for the smoothest operation, especially for tight bends and long or complex cable routings.
