The D2-40 range was built from 2005 to the present. The Volvo Penta D2-40 is a 4-cylinder, freshwater-cooled, compact, quiet and environmentally efficient diesel engine. The D2-40 meets BSO, EU RCD, US. EPA Tier 3 emissions.
We can supply all parts for the Volvo Penta D2-40 diesel, including a range of D2-40 series spare parts, oil filters and fuel filters, drive belts and impellers, and genuine D2-40 series exhaust elbows, oils and grease. We are also the main Volvo Penta dealers. The D2-40 was available with a straight or angled gearbox or a 130S saildrive.
On any Volvo D2-40, clean out the heat exchanger every 5 years and check the exhaust elbow to prevent a build-up of carbon and rust in the outer chamber.
