Volvo Penta D4 Series Diesel Water in Fuel Alarm Cable, Part Number 21641493

This is a fuel in water alarm harness that connects between the EVC system on a D3, D4 or D6 and the following fuel bowls:  877763, 877768 and 877764 on engines from 2011 onwards.

A reliable supply of clean water free fuel to the engine is the most important safety out at sea. Water in fuel will stop any diesel immediately.

This cable alarm is used on any D3, D4 and D6 installations where a cable connects to the fuel bowl on the pre-filter on the D series from 2011 onwards, which have paired engine cable harness.

To get an early warning for water in the fuel tank the best position for a water sensor is in the Fuel Filter/Water separator between the tank and the engine. The sensor will detect water in the bowl of the water separator and gives the early warning needed.
