Volvo Penta coolant gives vastly superior corrosion protection with special additives for aluminium protection. Suitable for both petrol and diesel engines. It also has good anti-freeze and anti-corrosion properties.

Note: Never mix with VCS/ VCS-2 yellow or orange coolant. Your Volvo Penta was supplied with either Green or VCS coolant. They must never be mixed or swapped over. Earlier variants of any Volvo Penta diesel are likely to use the green type. Later Volvo Penta diesel engines may have been supplied with VCS coolant and they should be kept on this type. Remember, your coolant should be changed every two years if green and up to 4 years if it is VCS yellow or VCS-2 orange and you should remove the heat exchanger at least every 5 years if fitted to clean it. 

The best way to replace the coolant is to use the ready-mixed version, as incorrect dilution can lead to overheating issues.
