Genuine Mercruiser diesel fuel filters are available by mail order. Mercruiser / Quicksilver diesel fuel filters are made to OEM standards to withstand the harsh environment in which Mercruiser diesel engines operate.
Mercruiser diesel fuel filters should be changed at the end of each season and the fuel treated with a bug preventative treatment such as Express Lube Fuel Doctor to prevent the growth of diesel bug.
We recommend that any diesel should be fitted with a pre-filter to protect the fuel system from bug and water contamination.
