Zinc anodes should be used in saltwater use. A Magnesium version should be used for freshwater. In brackish water, maybe consider an Aluminium version. Anodes should not be mixed on any installation and should be inspected as often as possible, especially if the boat is in a marine environment with shore power around.
If the anode is worn by more than a third, it will need to be changed, due to its surface area being reduced.

The 3 part folding hub anode 3858399 should be checked regularly to ensure the propeller is protected from corrosion.
The hub anode needs to be changed every year to protect the folding propeller from corrosion, especially if the yacht is kept in a marina.
