Volvo Penta D3 Earlier Service M

Technical Specification: Current D3 series diesel range. Five-cylinder, 2.4-litre diesel, 110 hp to 220 hp. Oil capacity is approximately 8 litres of VDS 4.5 oil.

The D3 Volvo Penta diesel range is defined by earlier and later variants. Therefore some parts including impellers change part numbers between earlier models and the latest variants. The Volvo Penta D3 is a 5-cylinder, fresh water-cooled engine, quiet and environmentally efficient. The new D3 meets IMO NOx (D3-200 & D3-220), EU RCD Stage II, US. EPA Tier 3 emissions.

We can supply all parts for the Volvo Penta D3 including the range of D3 series spare parts, oil filters and fuel filters, crankcase breathers, drive belts and impellers, genuine D3 series exhaust elbows, oils and grease. We are also main Volvo Penta dealers for servicing and technical support.

Volvo Penta D3 genuine service parts are made to exacting standards to withstand the harsh saltwater environment in which marine diesel engines operate. If you need helps with any technical issue regarding your Volvo Penta D3, please call us.

The heat exchanger on any D3 should be cleaned and the "O" rings changed, every 5 years to prevent overheating.

Older D3 diesel engines may run on Volvo green coolant and newer ones may be using yellow VCS coolant. Please do not mix or change the coolant type once one or other has been used. If you are running on Volvo Penta green coolant, continue to use green coolant. Mixing yellow and green coolant can cause gelling and blockages within the cooling system.
